Pelvic floor physiotherapists have specialized training to help both men and women recover from pelvic floor muscle injuries or weakness caused by various factors such as childbirth, surgery, heavy lifting, obesity, chronic constipation, coughing, or menopause.

Our pelvic floor physiotherapists will conduct a thorough assessment, including a detailed history to understand your concerns related to bowel and bladder function, sexual activity, sleep, stress, and overall health.

Each treatment is customized to meet your specific needs. The external examination involves assessing the skin, fascia, and muscles of the abdomen, core, lower back, and inner thighs. If necessary, internal assessments can be done through digital (finger) vaginal and/or rectal exams. While not always required, an internal exam can offer valuable insights to enhance your treatment plan and achieve optimal outcomes in a shorter timeframe.

Pelvic floor physiotherapists address a range of conditions, including pre and postpartum care, assisting with postpartum exercise, recovery after a Cesarean section, post-operative gynecological, abdominal, or urinary procedures, post-operative hernia, urgency or frequent urination, incontinence, and constipation.

I graduated from Bryan College with a Diploma in Massage Therapy. I also have a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology from York University. Growing up, I’ve always had a strong passion towards Health & Wellness. I used to participate in many sports as a kid including Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Track & Field, Soccer, and Swimming. During my free time, I like to workout, go hiking, cook, and play guitar.

I started working out in high school and I’ve now been training for 12 years. I have competed in one bodybuilding show in 2021 and I will be competing in my second show in November 2024. Fitness has been a huge part of my life for many years and I’ve always considered it “a way of life.”

What got me into Massage Therapy was going through my own set of injuries such as herniated discs in my back and nerve entrapments in my arms from working out. Being able to study the human body and having overall body awareness has always been a keen interest of mine.

I am a strong believer in exercise and physical activity being one of the fundamentals in helping my clients achieve their goals. I also believe in an interdisciplinary approach when it comes to therapy.
